Actress Pebetsi Matlaila has finally decided to partake in a social media challenge since Mzansi went into lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Pebetsi, who plays the role of Mokgadi Matloga on Skeem Saam, says the #lockdownconfessions challenge is the only challenge she has participated in since Mzansi went into lockdown 40 days ago.
She took to Instagram to reveal some of the challenges she has been dealing with since she started social distancing.
Pebetsi said when President Cyril Ramaphosa announced the ban of alcohol and cigarette sales at the beginning of the lockdown, "We all thought, 'we can survive this'.
"It's not like we're addicted. But hey! When you realise that there's no longer any supply in the household?"
The star said she now drinks water from a champagne glass because she refuses to buy alcohol from the black market at exorbitant prices.
"We get drunk on water because I've managed to convince my mind that I do not need a volume or a percentage in a drink to feel happy."
Pebetsi also confesses that she no longer feels the need to go overboard with make-up.
"The people around me have excepted to deal with me in my natural state. I also don't remember the last time I had artificial nails on. I literally have the ugliest fingers on earth. I never knew that I had the ugliest fingers until lockdown began."
She added that she has also gained weight and that her dress code is now somewhere between semi-bedtime and lounge-wear.
"I've also gained an enormous amount of weight."
Pebetsi's fans also enjoyed her confessions.
"I enjoy listening to you, didn't want you to stop. I love you girl."
"I feel you."
"Pebetsi you looking so stunningly beautiful gal."
