Actress Katlego Danke has taken to social media to share with her fans an innocent throwback pic from when she was still in high school.

The Gomora star posted a picture of herself in school uniform when she was still doing matric at Sacred Heart College in Johannesburg.

She said the picture "signalled" freedom for her.

"Matric year brought the freedom to make serious decisions about my life, leave school and home, and the freedom to begin the life of independence I was so hungry for."

Katlego said the independence she longed-for was the "freedom to be myself, freedom to be unique".

"Freedom to make mistakes and learn from them. Freedom to love and allow myself to be loved. Freedom to express myself without fear. Freedom to write the chapters of my life as I so please. Let’s celebrate freedom."

Katlego's wishes came true when she landed a role on Generations. She became famously known as Dineo, the character she portrayed on the soapie.

Since then she has moved on to other big productions and now she is currently part of the cast of Mzansi's hit show Gomora.

The stunner's fans also commented on her matric pic.
