- Meghan Markle was filmed reading a book to her son on his first birthday
- The former Suits actress read a book called Duck! Rabbit! to Archie to help raise funds for non-profit organisation Save the Children UK
- According to reports, the book was a gift from talk show host Oprah Winfrey
On Wednesday, Archie turned one-year-old and he spent the day with his mom, Meghan, and dad, Prince Harry, in Los Angeles.
The Duke of Sussex filmed his wife reading a book to their son and shared it on the Instagram account for non-profit organisation Save the Children UK.
Meghan starts off the video by showing the book's cover to the camera. She read a children’s book called Duck! Rabbit! and on the cover a sticker can be seen which says, "Archie’s Book Club”.
Independent reported it is believed the book was a gift from Oprah Winfrey. The megastar talk show host revealed after his birth last year that she gives a "standard gift" to people she cares about.
She was quoted saying at the time:
"This baby will have enough books to last a lifetime!”
Oprah has also gifted books to the daughter of Late Night star Mindy Kaling. Kaling revealed her daughter's books all have "Katherine’s Book Club" on it.
Take a look at the video below:
In the video, Archie sits on his mom's lap as she reads the book. At times the young boy adorably smiles as Meghan turns the pages and reads them aloud.
Prince Harry, who filmed the clip, can be heard chuckling at times. The clip managed to gather over 1 million views since it was shared online.
On Wednesday, Briefly.co.za honoured Archie on his birthday by taking a look at five of his most memorable moments over the past year.
