Sho, people are hungry. A group of men have been arrested and charged with attempted murder and possession of unlicensed firearms after they robbed a homestead in Qumbu Village in the Eastern Cape.
The men allegedly attacked the Qumbu homestead with AK-47s and shotguns in the early morning hours on Sunday.
According to the Sowetan, four men showed up heavily armed to steal a single chicken. Eastern Cape police spokesperson captain Dineo Koena revealed three under-aged men and a 23-year-old were taken into custody after the weapons were found in their possession.
They are set to appear in court on Friday.
South Africans were shocked by the news and some even said it was unbelievable. One social media user even tagged Nando's to make sure their chickens are safe.
