Backing the President: Saffas share why they're grateful for Ramaphosa

President Cyril Ramaphosa is the president during one of the most challenging times in South Africa. He's trying to build a stronger economy and create more jobs but at the same time has to make decisions that would ultimately save lives.

Some times it may appear that the head of state is fighting a losing battle but he shows up everyday to lead the country through a tough time.

On Tuesday, Briefly.co.za showed our gratitude to President Cyril Ramaphosa and asked our readers why they are grateful for the head of state.

Our post read:

"We are grateful for the bravery and courage that our President carries through these difficult days. We are grateful that he put his people first above anything else. Why are you grateful for our President?"

The reaction was overwhelming and there were those who said that Ramaphosa is just doing his job.

However, some of our readers answered our question and gave a couple of reasons on why they're grateful for Ramaphosa. We took a look at some of those comments.

"I am grateful for him trying to save the lives of South Africans, caring enough to even listen to the ever different cries of South Africans, because if he did not listen then there would be no unemployment grant, easing of the lockdown with levels, banning of cigarettes that attacks the lungs making them victims of Covid-19. Yes, there are mistakes, however looking at them they are due to 'Thuma Mina' for he listen Enkosi."
