Uzalo fans cannot believe their favourite show has been forced to take a break as a result of the coronavirus.

The coronavirus has taken enough from humanity; the least it could do is leave our soapies alone.

Briefly.co.za learnt that Mzansi’s favourite drama series will be off-air as of May 11 – the people are not pleased.

The Uzalo team has to make a hard decision regarding the coronavirus and lockdown limitations, and suspending production seemed like the best choice.

Even though the crew has been able to go back on set as level four lockdown came into play, there is still a lot that needs to be done before new content is produced.

Taking to social media, Uzalo let its loyal viewers know the hard news, giving an in-depth explanation for their decision.

"Production was profoundly impacted by this as it directly resulted in the show not having enough material to flight," read the statement.
"It is important to us to ensure we deliver content that adheres to the COVID-19 protocols, safeguarding our active cast, crew and greater community."

Fans flooded social media with messages of disbelief and pure heartbreak. Avid viewers do not know what they will be doing with their lockdown time now.
