On 11 May, 1981, the global music industry was thrown into a fit of shock after the news of Jamaican singer and songwriter, Robert Nesta Marley aka Bob Marley, became public.

Many lovers of the genre of music and those that were particular drawn to what Marley had done with the reggae sound were left heartbroken as it dawned on them that there wouldn’t be any more thrilling concert that had a Bob Marley presence.

However, 39 years after his death, even if Marley is gone, he lives on in the hearts of his family and dedicated music fans.

In the mood of celebrating the 39th death anniversary of the music icon, several fans have flooded social media with photos, videos and endearing words to mark the remembrance of Marley.
