Ernst Roets has stirred drama on social media after he roasted Lindiwe Zulu for wearing military-style camouflage. He expressed concern that a minister was addressing the nation dressed in that way. Social media users weighed in with many suggesting that he was being petty.
ErnstRoets took to Twitter and slammed Zulu, saying:
"When the Minister of Social Development of an actual country addresses a press conference wearing military style camouflage... Yes, that's the South African government in a nutshell for you."
The Afriforum head of policy went on to add:
"I neglected to mention the Cuban flag on her military style fashion beret."
Social media users had differing opinions about the situation. Twitter user dramadelinquent said:
"Oh for God's sake, it's a T-shirt Ernst."
"Are you afraid of something we don’t see or what’s the issue here? Can’t anyone choose to wear what they choose to any more?"
"She is a trained MK soldier by the way."
"You have a sick mind."
"What would you rather have her wear?"
