Somizi Mhlongo will not stand for anyone being rude to his beloved mother and understandably so.

The media personality is extremely close to his mother, veteran actress Mary Twala.

An unruly fan rubbed SomGaga up the wrong way when he came for Ma Mary on Twitter recently.

It all started when Somizi posted a throwback Mother's Day picture of himself, his mom, Mohale and his mother.

The tweep wrote, "Imagine if Somizi would get to get like his mom. Poor Mohale."

The tweep quickly deleted his rude tweet, but not before Somizi and his legion of fans had seen it.

Somizi responded, "Let me engage you. I am proudly going to age like my mom - happy and content. I just wish your mom reaches my mom's age. And (you) used the word poor in the wrong sentence, because Mohale won't be (poor). I hope it's not the case with you and your gorgeous ageless mom."

The furious radio host invited the tweep to unfollow him.

Somizi really handled the troll with class and we salute him.

A lot of people tend to let the quest for social media clout override good manners at times.

Today, Briefly.co.za reported that Pearl Thusi disappointed a lot of people when she threw shade at Jill Scott during an Instagram Live.

And this past weekend, the Ambitiouz Entertainment Twitter account dissed L'Tido just because he supported their former artist, Emtee.
