Housebreaking gone wrong: Video shows man stuck in window, SA reacts

- A man attempted to break into a house recently but his plan was foiled

Over the weekend, a man got stuck in a window after allegedly attempting to break into a house. A video was shared on Twitter by REZA (@crimeairnetwork) showing the man dangling from the window through which he attempted to enter the house.

According to TimesLIVE, provincial police spokesperson Col Adele Myburgh confirmed the incident and revealed it took place in Klerksdorp, North West in the early hours of Saturday.

The man is seen dangling from the window as he tries to escape. He is heard crying of the pain and it appeared he injured himself during the process.

Myburgh said the man did not seriously injure himself and he is in court. The 39-year-old can be heard pleading with the woman filming the clip to let him explain.

The video gathered over 20 000 views and South Africans weren't afraid to give their two cents' worth.

Twitter user, @naeemc65, commented:

"That one watching too many Jackie Chan movies, he got caught in the act."

Briefly.co.za previously reported on a similar video. The footage shows a thug getting stuck in burglar bars after allegedly attempting to break into a home.

Based on the reactions, most people commended the home owner for teaching the thief a lesson.
