A man has thanked medical staff at a local hospital for safely delivering his son. He gushed about his bouncing baby boy and the high quality of care his wife received.

Bheksisa Khumalo took to the #ImStaying Facebook group to thank staff at King Dinizulu Hospital in Durban for their exceptional service. His wife delivered their baby boy, Cebolenkosi, on the 3rd of May at the hospital.

"I would love to pass words of gratitude to the staff at the maternity ward, including the doctors. Your support was amazing given the difficult circumstances my wife had to go through in order to deliver"

The doting dad went on to say that the hospital was flying the South African flag high. Social media users congratulated him on the new addition. Facebook user Anne Veronica Kirkland said:

"Congratulations. That's what I love about the names that children are given in this country. They all have significant meanings. I was brought up on a farm in the Eastern Cape and I was given the name Studebaker when I was born by our staff. I've never known what the meaning of that was, I just knew it was a car."

Ester De Beer said:

"My daughter Lize is nursing there and worked at maternity ward when you had your baby!!"

Samantha Ndawonde said:

"Listen King George is the best. I will forever thank them for what they did for me when I gave birth."

Ujah Faith said:

"Cebolenkosi you will continue to shine and grow strong and handsome. You will make your parents proud."
