Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is one of the most successful tacticians in South African football history.

His exploits at Sundowns have been second to none and it would almost seem unthinkable for him to part ways with the Brazilians.

However, that may be the reality by the end of next month when his contract comes to an end.

Initially, it was assumed that the two parties would agree an extension, but it hasn't materialised as yet.

Previously, Mosimane explained that the two parties were at a stalemate, but it has nothing to do with money.

Mosimane said, “Negotiations are still where they were‚ there is 20 percent left. It is about principle and not money‚ trust me it is not about money."

Speculation has now been mounting over Mosimane's future and Sundowns issued a statement in response.

The statement read: "“Mamelodi Sundowns has observed over several months the speculation and the false statements concerning several issues including the contract of Pitso Mosimane.”

It concluded: "In line with the policy and culture of Mamelodi Sundowns announcements on any matter which is important to the club‚ including Pitso Mosimane’s contract‚ will be made when the club deems it appropriate.”

Previously, Mosimane made an unexpected revelation in a recent interview.

Briefly.co.za reported that the Downs tactician supported the Glamour Boys in his youth.
