A video of Lovell Rosebud Wordie has hit social media with a massive stir as it shows the stunning lady confidently representing Ghana in London in 1968.

Lovell Rosebud Wordie won the Miss Ghana Pageant when she was only 19 years old and had to mount the stage for Miss World in London.

Briefly.co.za learnt that at the time, racism was still grim in many parts of the world, which makes the level of courage, confidence and tenacity displayed by the Ghanaian beauty queen a spectacle to watch.

That year, Lovell Rosebud Wordie was part of 60 other contestants who came from all over the world for the Miss World Contest.

She was only five feet and four inches tall but understandably did her best to add to the toughness of the contest.
