- Actress Linda Mtoba has joined the debate surrounding whether or not hair salons should be open during lockdown
- Linda said she definitely doesn't see getting her hair done as a necessity
- However, she also understands that hairstylists are really struggling financially due to the continued lockdown
Linda Mtoba has voiced her opinion on a hot lockdown topic - that of hair salons being open.
The star said she can't believe some people are putting their hair over their lives.
Linda tweeted, “There’s a whole petition for salons to open up, do people really need to do their hair that bad? Like, for real, for real?"
“People are dying, we’re worried about hair. Ngiluke amagoda awu two (I plaited two cornrows) and I’m in a doek all day. If I need to go out, I wear a cap. Come on - it can’t be that serious. Yes, the jobs matter but so do the lives." she said.
However, Linda also understood that people's livelihoods are at stake.
She continued, "It's truly terrible and there's no other word to describe it. (They are caught between a) rock and a hard place - their livelihoods matter, but their lives also matter. It's just hard."
Linda is definitely not taking any chances as she has an infant daughter at home.
Last week, Briefly.co.za reported that Linda and her daughter, Bean, have scored an ambassadorship with Huggies.
The River actress is also enjoying motherhood too much to want to leave the house.
The new mom has revealed that she can hardly bear to be away from Bean for even a minute.
