- Idols SA PR manager, Irvin Pooe has been slammed for his comment on the Qwabe Twins post about their new ride
- Irvin took to social media and questioned why the twins bought one car instead of two
- He also asked whether the singers can even drive, which led many to believe that he was hating on their success
Idols SA PR manager Irvin Pooe has been slammed on social media for not being happy with the progress of the Qwabe twins since their dramatic exit from the show.
While some tweeps were congratulating the twins after DJ Tira posted a pic of their new white BMW, Irvin apparently commented negatively to the post.
In a tweet that Irvin has since deleted, he questioned why they bought one car instead of two.
"They have a BMW yet no drivers licence. Are they gonna drive on the mountains ko gae? Is it paid off? Do they own it? Was it their choice? Can they even drive bathong? Also bai2 why get 1?"
Social media users have shared mixed reactions to Irvin's comment.
"He is asking relevant questions, artists have been exploited a lot in RSA. Is the car under their name? has it been paid of? DJ Tira could be playing them. Emtee thought the mansion house was his."
"The tone gives away whatever good intentions he had. 'Do they have a license, can they drive, is it paid up', these are questions asked when people never gave you a chance. It's jealousy."
"1. They can get a dedicated driver. 2. Does he want them to walk to gigs, they definitely need a car. 3. He must mind his business. It clearly shows that the judges at Idols are crappy hence the twins, Amanda, Shekinah are successful and they didn’t win."
Briefly.co.za reported that Viggy and Virginia shot to fame after their unexpected exit from the singing competition.
Viggy unexpectedly withdrew from the singing competition on her own accord just hours after her twin sister's exit from the show.
Their decision to ditch the competition has seen them ruling the airwaves and even releasing a music video for their song titled Hamba. The Q-Twins, as they are affectionately known by their fans, are now signed to Tira's stable, Afrotainment.
