Mzansi's film industry continues to strive under the current tough economic times.

Film makers have continued to produce movies that tell authentic South African stories despite the country's struggling economy.

Briefly.co.za has gathered that a number of films are waiting to go on shoot once the ongoing Covid-19 lockdown has been lifted.

This is good news for Mzansi actors who have been feeling the pinch amid the ongoing lockdown due to the coronavirus outbreak in the world.

Gail Mabalane and Hlomla Dandala are among some of the stars who have bagged new roles in new movies.

Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela tweeted that the two fan-faves will star in a film titled Indemnity. It will be directed by Travis Taute.

The film set in Cape Town, tells the story of an ex-firefighter, Theo, who is a Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder sufferer.

Theo, played by Jarrid Geduld, goes on the run after waking up next to his murdered wife's corpse.

Hlomla is a seasoned actor who currently portrays the role of Commissioner Zweli Dikana on The River.

Gail has also made a name for herself in the entertainment industry. She won Mzansi hearts when she starred on The Road and also on The Wild. The stunner also stars in Netflix's second African original series, Blood & Water, which will premier on 20 May.

Briefly.co.za has reported that Pallance Dladla and Clint brink have bagged roles in a new film. The award-winning actors will star in the upcoming action thriller titled King Dog. The movie will be directed by Bradley Katzen and by all accounts is set to set the scene on fire.
