Comedienne Nina Hastie has decided to sell her car after an attempted theft while it was parked at her home
Nina got rid of the drop-top ride after it got fixed because she was left shaken and traumatised by the incident.
The star had parked the car at her home when someone tried to break in and steal "something" in the car.
When she came back, she was surprised to find the front door on the right hand side and the lock damaged, and the window wasn't closing.
Nina then took her car to be checked and she was told that someone tempered with the car as they damaged the lock and the window mechanism.
"The damages cost R15 000 and the suspect is unknown. Nothing was stolen inside the car," according to a police statement.
The case is still under investigation. The insurance paid for the damages, according to media reports.
She opened a case of attempted theft out of a motor vehicle in Norwood police station in Johannesburg in August, reports Sunday Sun.
Police spokesperson Kay Makhubela confirmed that a case was opened at Norwood police station and no arrest has been made.
Briefly.co.za has gathered that Nina celebrated her birthday on Tuesday.
The stunner's peers in the entertainment industry, including Pearl Modiadie and Trevor Gumbi, took to social media to wish her a happy birthday.
"You are love personified and radiate so much light! It's your special day today and my wish for you is that you are abundantly blessed and that you get to live out all your heart's desires! May your 'crazy' be amplified! Happy Birthday my Ninakazi."
"Happiest of birthdays to my roll dawg @thatninahastie! I've witnessed you go from hell and back and your happiness warms my heart, I love you sis."
