- Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex celebrated their second wedding anniversary recently
- The Royal family was notably quiet this year and did not publicly acknowledge the occasion
- Sources reported that the young couple spent the day indoors as a family
Who can believe that it has been two years since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot? The pair celebrated their second wedding anniversary recently.
When Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan stood in Windsor Castle to exchange vows, two billion people around the world bore witness. Their second anniversary will certainly have far less eyes than their wedding. According to BAZAAR.com, the couple made plans to enjoy family time with their son, Archie Mountbatten Windsor.
Because they detached themselves from the Royal family, Kensington Palace did not directly wish them a happy anniversary. Even on their first anniversary, Kensington posted pictures of the Cambridge children, according to Marie Claire. The official royal account wished Harry and Meghan a happy anniversary last year, but it was crickets this year.
This, again, may have something to do with the couple branching out. Furthermore, last year Harry surprised Meghan with a diamond eternity band with birthstones for himself, Meghan, and Archie.
Things are a definitely a little different this year, with the world on lockdown, the Royals planned to just stay at home, according to a BAZAAR.com source.
