The Golela train team lent a helping hand to eight struggling families in need.
Poverty and unemployment have been huge concerns within South Africa and this has only been exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Ever since the lockdown regulations were imposed, more and more households have been struggling to put food on the table.
In light of this, the small group of Good Samaritans came together to make food parcels for the eight families in KZN.
Jennifer Van Straaten was involved in the little project and shared the news via Facebook.
Unfortunately, the news hasn't gone viral, but Briefly.co.za felt it was worth sharing.
During these challenging and uncertain times, it's heartwarming to note that South Africans are pulling together at a time when unity and generosity are needed most.

In another amazing display of Ubuntu, Briefly.co.za reported that Ebrahim Abrahams had been saving up to purchase a car for his daughter to reward her for graduating.
Upon seeing the plight of the needy in his community, he opted to use the R70 000 to initiate a feeding scheme instead.
