Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula has slammed a cop for using harsh language with a motorist recently. In a video shared on social media, a cop is seen swearing at a motorist. Social media users said he was being unprofessional and Mbalula agreed.
The video was shared on Twitter by TakaTina1 and captioned:
"Siphathwa kanje, siyathukwa, you'll never find them using this language towards white people. Our own are treating us like dogs."
Mbalula, who was tagged in the footage, responded by agreeing with the social media user, saying:
"He is on duty akufunekanga athethe elahlobo emsebenzini in a uniform nogal at best he must arrest or give him a ticket."
Social media users seemed happy with the Minister's response and went as far as asking him to help them find the guy. Twitter user MGULWA_Z said:
"Only thing we like about you Minister is that you are alert and can engage."
"Simple as that."
"Well then, suspend him."
"This traffic officer has issues and needs counselling. No one beig reacts that way to a temp licence."
