An amused mom took to social media to share a hilarious letter she received from her son. The eight-year-old was complaining about his bedtime and believed that he was old enough to go to sleep a little later.
Twitter user alexjellicoe shared a picture of the letter along with the caption:
"I just received a letter of complaint from my eight-year-old son."
The young boy, who signed off the letter as Max, explained that he searched the internet and found out that eight-year-olds can stay up longer. He suggested his bedtime be moved to 9pm. The adorable letter amused many social media users who couldn't help but take Max's side. Twitter user ASElliotKing said:
"His argument is sound and backed up with references to acknowledged research. How can you refuse? Well done, that boy."
"You could send him a holding letter - 'Thank you for your letter. Due to administrative delays, we aim to attend to your concerns within the next 30 days..."
"Research skills, written advocacy, and a way with words... Possibly a barrister-to-be?"
"This child has done his research and deserves a later bedtime as a reward."
"I was wrong earlier when I said 11-year-olds could run the country better. Some eight-year-olds could too."
"I love the evidence-backed argument. Give him the later bedtime, lol."
