Trevor Noah continues to fly the South African flag high on the world stage.

The comedian has once again made Mzansi proud of him after he and The Daily Show with Trevor Noah scooped seven awards at the prestigious Webby Awards.

The awards, held by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (Iadas), are dubbed as the "Emmys for the internet content".

The awards honour the best internet content providers each year.

Trevor bagged the Webby Award for Best Web Personality/Host and Video and the Webby Award and Webby People’s Voice Award for Comedy: Shortform, Video. His Daily Show won a Webby Award and Webby People’s Voice Award in the Humour, Social category, according to TimesLIVE.

The star took to Twitter on Wednesday to celebrate his latest wins. He shared a hilarious video and thanked his team for their hard work.

A social media post tried to claim that the star is from Botswana. South African social media users were quick to set the record straight. They replied with tweets of their own reclaiming the comedian.
