Man makes vetkoek to satisfy Mbaks’ craving, SA reacts: “Look scary”

- Minister of Transport Fikile Mbalula shared a social media post, which revealed his craving for freshly fried vetkoek

- A man responded to Mbaks' call and showcased his attempt with a batch of vetkoek

- The end product looked way off the mark and had South Africans in stitches

Minister of Transport Fikile Mbalula recently took to Twitter and disclosed his craving to have some freshly fried vetkoek.

A man using the Twitter handle Peché Africa (@pmcafrica) obliged and shared a photo, which showcased a batch of vetkoek that he allegedly fried.

His caption stated:

"I'm busy making some Mbaks."

Based on the reaction to the tweet, Briefly.co.za gathered this may not have been what Mbaks had in mind.

Vetkoek is a local delicacy known for its round shape and golden brown colour However, the ones in the photo seemed to be oddly shaped and varied in colour.

Briefly.co.za shared some of the humorous comments below, as tweeps had a field day.

Eve Tselane Dithebe (@PUNNYLUV) pulled no punches:

"That look like Corona Virus."

ChidoEkie (@Chidocee1) said,

"Haibooo this looks like rats with huge asses nje."

A Liverpool supporter, CR7 stan account (@Ide74652483) added,

"They kinda kook scary."

Gwamile (@Labotsibeni) said,

"I'm seeing all sorts of livestock shapes nje."

Mbaks' tweet included some wonderful pics and highlighted AKA's new television channel.
