An artist, Jane Gottlieb, spend two months to paint her house in California, US. She turned the 'dull and boring' home into a rainbow wonderland.
It costs her $5 000 - which is about R90 000 - to maintain the beautiful colours on the outside of the house alone.
Every year, the house gets even brighter as another coat of paint is added, Maroela Media reported.
Gottlieb is an artist who loves colour but she reveals her neighbours are not fans of the colourful house.
However, her almost all her visitors fall in love with the home.
"When people come to visit the first time they smile immediately, they are immediately happy because they've never seen anything like it. I don't understand the obsession with brown and beige."
Gottlieb added she loves colour and whenever she sees something colourful, she wants it.
The artist has been living in the house for over two decades with her husband, 73-year-old David Obst.
