Emtee has learned the hard way not to go for the first offer than comes allong if you're a struggling artist.

The rapper hugely regretted his decision to sign with Ambitiouz Entertainment and now has some sage advice for artists who are looking to get signed.

He said it's important to not exhibit signs of hunger, otherwise record labels will take advantage.

Emtee said, "Please do not sign a record deal just because you're hungry. That indicates that they can play with you as much as they want."

The Roll Up hit-maker is still not over his acrimonious exit from Ambitiouz Entertainment.

The star accused the label of even stealing artists from him.

He wrote, "Even when everybody was calling me names, saying I'm broke, laughing with the enemy, switching sides and all that - I am always helping people. Not one (or) two, (but multiple) people - brand new artists. They even stole some of my artists."

Last month, Briefly.co.za reported that Emtee has vowed to, at the very least, get his awards back from Ambitiouz.

Another major artist to walk away from the embattled label is none other than Sjava.

Rumours had swirled that he was unhappy with how the label handles things, particularly remuneration.

This week news broke that the singer and Ambitiouz had parted ways.
