What made you decide to do rap music?
Growing up, I was always a very active kid. I played a lot of sports and was always attracted to rap music. After travelling to the States and getting immersed in the extremely strong hip hop culture there, I came back to SA and started off by making music with my brother, Hugo, and two other friends in a group called NSC.
What inspires you to keep making music?
The source of my inspiration is my five-year-old boy. I draw a lot of my inspiration from him. He's an awesome kid. And just music in general. (I love listening to) other artists. I get a lot of my inspiration from other people, (seeing) women dancing, listening to older people's stories, historians, activists, sports - I get inspired by a lot of different people and things.
What's your music mainly about?
My music is mainly about my journey and what I've been through in my life. I try to incorporate a lot of that, so it remains authentic and something that others can relate to.
