- Sophie Lichaba knows better than most how important it is to keep safe during the current Covid-19 pandemic
- The actress suffers from diabetes and is more vulnerable to any illness
- She reminded South Africans to remain vigilant even during level three of lockdown
Sophie Lichaba is relieved that we're finally in level three of lockdown.
However, the actress has warned that it's still important to be careful during this time.
Sophie suffers from diabetes and and her immune system is extra susceptible to illness.
Sophie said she is grateful to be alive as a lot of people have lost their lives or those of their loved ones during this difficult time.
The Lockdown star wrote, “I have seen an emergency room once in this delicate time, and it was just high sugar levels. The doctors, the nurses, the caregivers, the police, the army who daily sacrifice themselves. They all have families who need them too. We pray for you. Thank you.”
She concluded, "Let's remember. The fight is not over - wear your mask."
Besides health concerns, Sophie is also facing financial challenges due to the extended lockdown.
Earlier this month, Briefly.co.za reported that the star's restaurants had been indefinitely closed as per the government's requirements.
Luckily for Sophie, her acting career is going great.
Mzansi was extremely impressed by her role on the current season of Lockdown.
