Actress Amanda du Pont has penned a touching tribute to her grandmother following her passing away on Sunday night.

The Skeem Saam star took to social media to express that she has not been well since her granny's death.

Amanda, who described her gogo as her favourite, said as much as she was hurt about losing her granny, she is somehow happy that she was resting and no longer in pain.

"I lost my gogo last night. If you know me well you'd know she was my fav. Everything in my body is aching and so painful. But I'm happy you are resting and no longer in pain."

The stunner revealed her granny had promised to wait until she was married before she passed. Amanda confirmed that she was now married.

"Over the last couple of years she would hint that she was getting tired. I'm married granny and I'm okay, hope you are too. Rest in perfect peace."

The star's fans wished her family well in their trying time.
