Suffering from a pre-existing condition like diabetes during the global coronavirus pandemic is definitely not something anyone wants.
Briefly.co.za learnt that Sophie found herself lying in the emergency room recently when she had a bad spell with her diabetes.
Sophie’s sugar levels peaked which sent her to the ER, something she never expected would happen, especially now during the pandemic.
Having been extra cautious during lockdown and the pandemic as a whole, Sophie still fears the worst as diabetes makes her high-risk.
Taking to social media to share her experience, Sophie shared a bible verse where she expressed her gratitude for being alive.
"Today I'm reminded that God is king of my life my heart. So grateful for the constant restoration...We woke up today n have survived #covid19 some families have lost their loved ones.. I'm living with diabetes most vulnerable to this pandemic. I'm still here. So grateful.
"I have seen emergency room once in this delicate time and was just high sugar levels."
