Legendary actress Connie Chiume celebrated her birthday yesterday.
She didn't let peeps in on her exact age, but said she is "60 plus."
Connie said this was the first birthday she's spent without her mom and she was eternally grateful for all the time they'd had together.
She wrote, "My first birthday without my mother and, mind you, I'm 60 plus. I realise how blessed I have been all these years, and now I live to be a blessing to my children, my siblings, to my family, my friends, colleagues and fans. To many more years of being 'lo ya mama o on (that mama who is on)'."
Connie's devious character, Mam' Sonto, on Gomora is a fan fave.
The talented actress' decades of experience really shines through in the way she portrays Sonto.
Last month, Briefly.co.za reported that fans were really missing the new soapie when it was taken off air due to running out of episodes.
The lack of episodes was caused by lockdown.
But now, the show is back on air and fans are loving every second - it's well on its way to overtaking The Queen to become the number one most-watched show on the DStv platform.
