Babes Wodumo has responded to the allegations of drug use and the subsequent apology from the man who accused her of using illegal substances. Babes trended on social media last week after an emotional interview with socialite Tha Simelane.

In the footage, an intoxicated Babes broke down about being under pressure and having to support her family. Tha Simelane fanned the flames of her breakdown by crying with her and alleging that the singer was taking an illicit drug. Babes Wodumo's management slammed the allegations and Tha Simelane has since issued a public apology on his Instagram page.

According to the Daily Sun, Babes has accepted the apology. Speaking to the publication, Tha said that he was grateful for the forgiveness and would be giving Babes space to calm down because she was hurting. He acknowledged that he should have conducted the interview when the Durban star was sober.

In his Instagram apology, Tha also apologised to the public.
