Fundiswa Zwane has reportedly been fired from Imbewu: The Seed. The surprise exit comes after the star's management allegedly asked requested a pay increase for her. Rumours are that the actress will be replaced by Brenda Mhlongo.

According to Isolezwe, Brenda only found out about her dismissal when she was told by others. The publication reports that she was very surprised. Brenda has already started filming and will be appearing on screens soon. Social media users have expressed their shock over the sudden news. Twitter user LueTheFiddler said:

"Noooo. That's one character that can not be replaced, she was so natural."
