- The stunning actress said this is a great accomplishment for women leads in film
- Enhle's career is definitely going from strength to strength
Enhle Mbali is over the moon about her movie, Loving Thokoza, being number one on ShowMax.
Mbali plays the lead role on Loving Thokoza, which is set in 1994.
She stars as Charlotte Grootboom, an English teacher who moves to Joburg to stay with her uncle while she looks for a job.
Unable to find work at a Model C school, she instead takes a teaching job at a township school in Thokoza, where she fights to set up a debating society.
The film was shot in only nine days and the acting displayed is top tier.
Loving Thokoza is now number one on Showmax and Enhle couldn't be happier.
Enhle posted an image of Charlotte raising a fist in the movie.
She wrote, "Loving Thokoza is number one on ShowMax. A movie with a woman as a lead...change has come. Thank you all so much for the love and support. Let's celebrate guys, we did it."
Besides working like a beast, Enhle has also been using the lockdown time to reconnect with self.
Earlier this year, Briefly.co.za reported that Enhle was concentrating on praying, meditating and reflecting.
The star, who's also a fashion designer, won her first international fashion award this year.
