It seems Babes Wodumo has not accepted Tha Simelane's apology. The apology came after the socialite accused the muso of using illegal substances on a live streaming platform. Babes Wodumo and her management denied the accusation, forcing Tha to retract. However, reports are claiming that Babes is taking legal action against her former friend.
Tha held an emotional Instagram Live interview with Babes which ended up trending on social media. In the interview, an 'intoxicated' Babes opened up about pressure she was under to support her family.
The emotional songstress burst into tears, leading to Tha Simelane also crying. After the interview concluded, Tha went on to say that Babes was taking cocaine during the interview. The allegations were denied by Babes' management, causing Tha to release a public apology.
Briefly.co.za reported that Babes accepted the apology. Tha told the Daily Sun that he reached out to both Babes and Mampintsha and they accepted his apology. However, the Sunday Sun is reporting that Babes has filed a case against the socialite, suing for defamation of character.
Babes' lawyer Ayanda Mngadi confirmed to the publication that they were in the process of taking legal action.
The muso said that the allegations were damaging to her brand and left her family broken.
A case of defamation has been opened at Westville Police Station in KwaZulu-Natal.
