Cristiano Ronaldo failed to help his side, Juventus, in the final of the Coppa Italia where they suffered a 4-2 penalty defeat against Napoli.
The encounter was a tough one for Ronaldo and his teammates who failed to find the back of the net in the 90 minutes before the game went to extra time.
Briefly.co.za learned that Ronaldo did not take part in the penalties as Napoli went on to win in what was a painful defeat for him and manager Maurizio Sarri.
Defeat against Napoli is now Cristiano Ronaldo's second consecutive final loss which is the first time in his career this has happened.
Ronaldo was part of the Juventus' side that also lost against Lazio in the final of the Coppa Italia which was his first season playing for the Old Lady.
Sarri and his wards will now focus on the Serie A with the hopes of them retaining their title at the end of the season.
The Italian coach has never won League title as he also failed at Chelsea last season winning only the Europa League.
