Certain retailers are known for certain things. Some are renowned for their affordable prices, while others are known for their quality.
Woolworths has become synonymous with premium quality and the brand generally attracts an affluent clientele.
Unfortunately, these traits also add to the perception that their food items are overpriced. A funny tweet recently seemed to play off this misconception when a man revealed a small pack of lamb that was valued at a bizarre price.
Twitter user S E P H I R I (@sephiritsikeli) shared the controversial tweet and included the caption:
"R734 for 6 pieces. Does this meat have the blood of Jesus?"
2. Mzansi blown away by stunning shack: “This is very beautiful”
A young man stunned social media users when he unveiled photos of a shack that has been beautifully renovated.
Twitter user K U L A N I (@kulanicool) shared the images and tweeps were left speechless as it caught many by surprise.
It was clear to see the homeowner took immense pride in the abode, as it featured incredible curb appeal - a splendid front garden with a covered patio.
The exterior offered a taste of what was to follow as the interior boasted luxury design and finishes.
A fully-fitted kitchen was complimented with high-end appliances while the lounge was kitted with a quality lounge suite and flat-screen television. The tweet can be viewed below.
3. Shots fired: Nando's delivers fiery clap back at lady over post
Nando's have become synonymous with delicious flame-grilled chicken, but also a hilarious marketing and media team.
The fast food franchise regularly produce witty and comical adverts in line with current events taking place in Mzansi. On Monday, they took aim at a woman who was striving to compete with the fast food giant.
Twitter user YourFemale_MC (@_vhutshilo) showcased a meal she was selling, which included a whole chicken with a portion of pap.
The Nando's team didn't miss and beat and responded by saying: "Add extra sauces then maybe you'll be playing in the same kitchen but love your work sis."
4. Inside Connie Ferguson's lavish 50th lockdown birthday party
Connie Ferguson's family went all-out to celebrate her 50th birthday this past weekend. The occasion featured cupcakes with Connie's face on them.
There was also a Chanel cake, a royalty-themed cake and gifts that included titbits from Louis Vuitton - talk about only the best for the queen.
