Cristiano Ronaldo has continued to show why he is one of the greatest footballers on and off the pitch as he has just acquired the most expensive apartment ever sold in the Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. gathered that the Juventus star paid £6 million (around R132 million) for the home, which is equipped with a stylish gym and an indoor swimming pool.

SunSport reports that penthouse apartment is located at the Eduardo VII Park, an area close to Ronaldo's heart as this is where his football journey started.

Reports from Portugal suggest that the former Real Madrid player acquired the luxury apartment in 2018, but full details have just emerged.

There were two other millionaires who had been interested in the property but Ronaldo beat them to it when he closed the deal on the flat in the Avenida de Liberdade area of the city.

There are three large bedrooms in the apartment, which is also fitted with a gym, spa and swimming pool.

CR7 recently sold one of his mansions located in the Geres area of northern Portugal to his former teammate at Real Madrid, Pepe, for £2m.

The former Manchester United star reportedly built the mansion from scratch about 10 years ago when he was still plying his trade at the Old Trafford outfit.

It was gathered that the facility served as a private home for the player but now it has become a tourist facility for lovers of football.
