Somizi Mhlongo had a big wake-up call when he recently launched his new show and reached out to people who he thought were his friends.
It is often the most important and trying times of your life that reveal who is really there for you.
Briefly.co.za came across a video in which Somizi poured his heart out and let fans know what he had experienced.

“Some friends came on board, you know those people that you know [understand] that it's a give-and-take relationship. Then some just declined, like without an explanation. Some explained but I found myself now thinking, 'Oho but I did this and that for you and now you can't return the favour?' ”
Coming to his senses after getting pretty touched by the situation, Somzi realized that no one actually owes him anything.
This sense of self-entitlement that he felt was overwhelming and something Somizi has realised needs to stop.
You should never do something for someone expecting something in return. Somizi shared his realisation in the hope of helping others going through something similar.
