A 43-year-old Boksburg woman swindled her former boss out of R460 million.
The amount of money, which is almost half a billion rand, was stolen over a 13-year period.
The woman was arrested on Wednesday after the Hawks searched her home.
A SABC reporter tweeted the Hawks gathered jewellery worth R12 million, 7 immovable properties with 5 safes containing foreign currency as well as more jewellery and 11 luxury cars, the Citizen reported.
According to Hawks spokesperson, Captain Ndivhuwo Mulamu, the female worked at as an accountant multi-national medical equipment supplier Medtronic, which is located in Midrand.
Briefly.co.za gathered the woman, who has not been named yet, reportedly duplicated payments to clients, where she paid millions into her deceased spouse’s bank account.
The woman was charged with fraud, theft and money laundering, and is set to appear in the Johannesburg Specialised Commercial Crimes court on Friday.
