The star did not reveal how much it costs to book him but only slammed the tweets about charging R55 000 per show.

"I know y'all think low of me but that's not my fee," he tweeted.

Tweep, @slim_odie, told peeps that he has booked Emtee before and he charges from R120k to R150k.

"This is a lie. I negotiated @emteethehustla_ from 150K to 120k (when) we booked him in Mpumalanga."

@Mohlahlocollins also defended Emtee.

"People need to put some respect on your name bro."

The figure posted online by @Rap_City_SA is R10k more than what was quoted by local YouTuber Oabile in a recent video.

Briefly.co.za reported that YouTuber Oabile decided to do some digging and let us all in on what our favourite SA rappers charge for a performance.

Oabile simply sent out a few emails and was able to get the deets we have all been searching for. Requesting a price for various artists to perform a four-song set at a birthday party, Oabile managed to get some rates.

Cassper Nyovest is apparently the most expensive with a R207k fee for a measly 30-minute performance. AKA came in at a whopping R50k less than Cassper.

Nasty C, who is literally at the top of his game working with international hip-hop artists and all, came in at a reasonable R100k.

The more reasonable artists, according to Oabile, were Emtee, A-Reece at R55k and Kamo Mphela at R25k.
