Lasizwe shares sad news: His aunty passed away from the coronavirus

Lasizwe and his family are currently carrying heavy hearts as his dear aunt fell victim to the virus and lost the battle.

This coronavirus is taking many lives, faster than anyone ever expected, and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down either.

Briefly.co.za learnt that Lasizwe’s aunty contracted the virus after having been visited by a family member who had the virus and did not know.

Lasizwe’s aunty had cancer, making her a high risk. When she got the positive Covid-19 test, the family went into shock.

Talking to ZAlebs, Lasizwe explained how hearing about the virus is one thing, but when it hits home, it becomes that much more real.

"I’m so shattered! My aunt had been diagnosed with cancer, recently one of the family members visited to check up on my aunt kanti they have Covid.”

Lasizwe explained that his aunt’s entire household was infected from the visitor, not just her.

“They infected everyone from the kids to the adults who were there and now just got a call that my aunt has passed on!"

With a big part of his family infected with the virus, Lasizwe has no idea how his aunt’s burial is going to go down. Things are not okay.

People really need to be a lot more responsible during this time and take instances like this as a warning.
