Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune boasts an impressive following on social media.

The amazing shot-stopper is a legend among Chiefs fans and they often react positively to Khune's tweets.

On Wednesday, Khune seemed to take exception when another social media user used his photo as a meme.

Khune posed the question via his Twitter handle:

"Did u really have to use my pic Mara bro?"

It was all in jest though and made for some entertaining banter amongst his followers.

Briefly.co.za noted some of the reactions, as more than 5 000 people liked the post.

Tebogo Makwaeba (@TebogoMakwaeba7) recalled,

Sbundebele (@mashelesibusis1) joked,

The #KhuneSignsForPirates confused many Twitter users and had some fans buzzing in anticipation.

However, the shot-stopper took to social media on Wednesday and made his position clear.
