Yvonne has taken plenty of walks down memory lane in recent weeks.

Earlier this year, Briefly.co.za was amazed at her throw-back snaps of herself with Miriam Makeba and Nelson Mandela.

When she's not rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous, Yvonne is busy working hard.

The star was recently elected as vice-president of the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC).

CISAC director general Gadi Oron said, “Yvonne Chaka Chaka and Arturo Márquez are outstanding, inspirational creators, and I’m delighted CISAC will be able to benefit from their energy and authority in campaigning for creators worldwide."
