Bishop Makamu tests positive for Covid-19, in self-isolation

Bishop Israel Makamu has tested positive for the coronavirus, Covid-19. He is currently in self-isolation and using some medication and home remedies to treat himself.
"This thing hurts, my body was just fatigued and had other symptoms. I'm feeling much better now and want people to know that this is real, and they should really take this seriously," he said.
Briefly.co.za learned that he had himself tested after feeling sick for a couple of days.
"My wife has been giving me that garlic, lemon and ginger mixture. I also steam a lot and it has really helped me," he revealed.
He urged people to follow the lockdown regulations, according to the Daily Sun.

"Some people are walking around without masks, this is very dangerous plus you never really know where you'll get it," he said.
"I have a funeral parlour and it hurts so much to take a body straight to the graveyard. Please stay safe," he urged.
In other news, Briefly.co.za reported that Bishop Makamu of the Endless Hope Bible Church is one of the hosts of the local television show Rea Tsotella but he doesn't have many fans.

The latest episode of the show was actually the final straw for viewers - they want Makamu cancelled. For good.
The episode featured an older couple who are fighting for a house. However, Makamu - according to fans - was stuck on irrelevant matters. They just don't think he's a good fit for the show.
In terms of Bishop Makamu's home remedies, Briefly.co.za reported earlier that Somizi shared his Covid-19 home remedy with South Africa.
Somizi Mhlongo has posted a recipe for a concoction that he believes will help treat Covid-19 at home. He does warn at the end of the recipe to find out if you have any underlying health conditions and to consult your doctor.
He posted a video and complete recipe on Instagram, the video has had over 520 000 views.
