Somizi Mhlongo’s heart has truly been filled by all the love and support Mzansi has given him in his time of need. Losing a mother is not easy, but this has definitely helped him through.

Losing a loved one is one of the most unbearable pains we feel in life, one that we are only able to carry with the help of others.

Briefly.co.za knows what a hard task it has been for Somizi to lay his dear mother to rest, but the support he has received has truly been overwhelming and something beautiful.

Mary Twala was laid to rest on Friday 10 July 2020. Friends and family gathered at the actual funeral and others paid their respects via a live stream.

It was an emotional day for many. Somizi was never ready to let his mother go, however, he was comforted by the fact that he knows she will always be with him.

Hotstix and Mary were dear friends who had both been a part of the SA entertainment for a very long time and built solid careers in their respected fields.

At Mary's funeral, Hotstix thanked his dear friend for all that she was and all that she has left behind.
