Veteran gospel singer Dr Rebecca Malope has urged South Africans to remain strong and positive amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The muso believes that this is the time that people must remain strong in their faith as the entire globe is in a crisis due to the pandemic.

The multi-award-winning artist told Briefly.co.za that God will never take His people where His Grace wouldn't be able to carry them through.

"We need to be strong and remain positive. Those who are able to help others must do so unselfishly. This is the time when we must remain strong in our faith and know that He is our God, He will never leave us nor forsake us."

"God is making us spend more and more time with our families, this is not only good for the respective families but for the children as well."

Ribs, as she is fondly known by her peers and fans, said she is spending this lockdown at home with her family. She expressed that she doesn't take the "blessing" of having a family for granted.
