Qiniso van Damme is Mzansi’s first Bachelorette who was also once a contestant on The Bachelor SA. Sis is ready to find love. Some spend their entire life looking for 'the one'. Qiniso feels that it is her time to find hers and this reality TV show is going to help her do that.
Briefly.co.za had the privilege of getting up close and personal with Qiniso through a virtual interview. It is safe to say that MNet has chosen the perfect candidate.
Born on 25 May, 1993, Qiniso is a young and ambitious lady who is currently studying for her Master's in social science. Qiniso is also a vegetarian but that won’t stop her from falling for a meat-loving man – she is totally accepting of everyone’s beliefs and won’t force hers on others.
Qiniso’s sister is DA member Phumzile van Damme, her father is Hugo Van Damme and her mother Dr Sibongile Masuku. A family filled with ambitious females.
When asked if she felt that having been a contestant on The Bachelor SA had equipped her for the journey as SA's first bachelorette and how, Qiniso responded:
“Definitely! I have gone through the process. I have empathy for these men. I think the process made me a self-actualized lady. I understand what it's like to want to find love in front of the world.
"It's scary! But I'm up for the challenge. I'm excited about finding someone to love. You gotta be brave to go through all that. I know.s
Qiniso is looking for a man who has drive, ambition and one who is non-judgemental. She wants a positive man who is able to accept people for who they are and make a positive impact on the world. One thing Qiniso will not settle for is a man who isn’t proud to be South African.
While the coronavirus has stopped many shows from taking place, Qiniso believes that MNet will do the most to keep her and the contestants safe and make sure that the show goes on. It is definitely going to be an interesting experience.
Having been in a few “entanglements” over the years, Qiniso has made it clear that she is looking for something long-term and will settle for nothing less.
Briefly.co.za previously reported that The Bachelor SA concluded its second season a couple of months back. The bachelor, model Marc Bucker, ended up choosing Marisia as his girlfriend.
He also proposed to her after letting his other choice, Bridget, down. Marc and Marisia were quarantining together and looked extremely happy.
Some people were disappointed that Marc chose Marisia, and rightfully so as the two have just announced that they are no longer together.
