Dave Chapelle recently hopped on his private jet to check on his friend Kanye West. The rapper has been dominating headlines ever since he broke down at his first presidential rally.
He went on to post a series of disturbing tweets on social media. A few of his friends, including the world-famous comedian, paid him a visit to show him support.
Dave Chapelle went to see Kanye West at his ranch in Wyoming. The 43-year-old rapper posted a video on Twitter with the comedian and thanked him for his support. He called Dave a "true friend" and seemed in good spirits in the footage.
In the video, Kanye asked Dave to “please just make us smile, the world needs some, we need some joy, we need to smile."
The footage has since been viewed over 10 million times on the social media platform. Dave's visit resulted in some social media users bringing up the comedian's famous interview from 2006.
In the interview, Chapelle weighs in on the toxicity of Hollywood and celebrities going "crazy". He said:
"The worst thing to call somebody is "crazy" it's dismissive. I don't understand this person so they're crazy. That's bull cause people are not crazy they are strong people. Maybe the ENVIRONMENT... is a little sick"
In other Kanye West news, the controversial American rapper is headstrong in his dream to become the next president of the USA and it appears the rap star is also open to the idea of bringing a colleague and friend on the way.
According to reports by Independent, the Yeezy brand owner claimed that he recently reached out to fellow rapper and business mogul, Jay-Z, to join him on the US presidential race.
West was reported to have asked Jay-Z to join his presidential ticket and run as his vice-president. The same media outlet reported that the rapper made the disclosure during an appearance on Kris Kraylin’s radio show on Sunday, 19 July.
West said he had considered his friend Jay-Z, Jade Simmons and Micheal Tidball, who is a Christian pastor from Wyoming, to become his second-in-command.
