He went on to explain that his dad was the first in his family to matriculate but couldn't afford to study and his mom was not allowed to study what she wanted to.

His father passed away in 2016 and his dying wish to his wife was that she makes sure that his brother complete their degrees at university.

"My father was the only one in his family who matriculated, but he couldn't afford to study any further. My mother wasn't allowed to study what she wanted. Just before my father's passing in 2016 he asked my mom to make sure my brother and I both get our degrees."

Henlo revealed that it was thanks to his dad, who worked 5am to 6pm every week and his mom, who took over her husband's business with very little experience.

"Yes, I worked hard and put in the hours, but this degree is also as a result of a man who worked from 5am to 6pm every week. A single mother who went on with her husband's business without any knowledge of the business whatsoever."

He concluded saying that he was grateful to his parents for giving him something they could not have and Jesus for his blessings.

"Today I am thankful for both my parents for providing me with an opportunity they didn't have. Last but not least I want to thank Jesus for His continuous blessings over my life, day in and out!"

Here are some reactions to Henlo's post:

Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported that a young woman, Lindeni Lekhuleni, has proven that one can succeed even if you struggle at first.

The stunning graduate revealed she used to hate doing mathematics because like many other SA pupils, she had a tough time comprehending it. However, instead of Lekhuleni giving up, she joined a maths programme in Grade 10 and has never looked back.

In other news, Briefly.co.za reported that a single mother with the Twitter name, tha_ashcash, has proudly gushed about her academic milestone along with stunning graduation frames.

The mother of two handsome boys posed alongside her children in the impressive photos. tha_ashcash revealed she has successfully graduated from a renowned university with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science.
