Mzansi has lost another legend - Candy Moloi has sadly passed away. The influential star's death came suddenly and as a major shock. Moloi is the mother of actress and producer Lerato Zah Moloi, who played the character of Refiloe on Muvhango.
Briefly.co.za learnt that the reason for Moloi’s passing has not yet been announced but messages of condolences and remembrance have already started pouring in.
Moloi stared alongside her daughter on Muvhango. Lerato recently recovered from the coronavirus but there was no word whether Moloi had it too.
The news of Moloi’s passing has come as a shock and was confirmed by Muvhango creator Duma Ka Ndlovu on Tuesday evening on social media. The show is in mourning over the loss of one of their most talented actresses.

The people of Mzansi have taken to social media to pay their respects, extend their sympathy and to remember Moloi. It is clear to see what a lasting legacy Candy has left behind. Her memory will never be forgotten.

Zindzi passed away suddenly aged 59 years old, according to the Nelson Mandela Foundation, a sad and unexpected death that has left SA in shock. The endless messages of love, support, honour and condolences that poured in after the news broke was truly overwhelming.
The daughter of struggle veterans Nelson Mandela and Winnie Madikizela-Mandela had served as an SA Ambassador to Denmark. Mandela leaves behind four children and her husband. Zindzi was a political activist and helped fight the oppressive apartheid regime.
